CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2021

Class of 2021 had a remarkable year! While remaining at home due to COVID restrictions, these eager students received supplies at home each week and successfully completed their lessons virtually, connecting with their teachers and with each other through videos and phone calls. We heard from parents about how weekly check-ins and monthly financial support got them through this difficult time. And the parents of our five graduates agree that the Acorn Childcare Center has prepared them for entering primary school in January. We will welcome back ten students for another amazing year and we already have three new applicants ready to enter for the 2022 year.

On our last day of classes the students and their parents were invited to the Center to receive a traditional Christmas basket (canastas navideña) brimming with staples to ensure that families have the basic food supplies that they might need to be able to celebrate Christmas together. Because of your generosity we were able to provide a basket for each of our enrolled families and a few graduated families who needed the extra support this year.

The Acorn Childcare Center makes a world of difference to children and families that are struggling. We couldn’t have done it without you — thank you for your continued support!
