CELEBRATING EASTER TOGETHER

Local traditions in Guatemala make the celebration of Semana Santa (Easter week) an important one. Children usually do not receive gifts at Easter but do attend a big and colorful parade and special food is prepared for families to celebrate together. With your generosity, the teachers and staff at the Acorn Childcare Center gifted each family traditional egg yolk breads “Panes de Semana Santa” to celebrate together. Many of our students families are struggling and these little moments of celebration are so welcomed, bringing hope and joy to their lives. Thank you!
