CELEBRATING CHILDREN’S DAY!

Dia del Niño – Children’s Day – promotes and raises awareness of children’s health and well-being and we have been looking forward to celebrating with the children! Guatemala has some of the worst rates of malnutrition and child mortality in the region. Knowing the many hardships facing our families, the Center provides each student with two nourishing meals and a snack daily in a safe and caring environment where they interact, imagine explore and learn together.

Special days like Children’s Day are filled with joyful activities such as piñatas, games, face painting, and more! Celebrating together builds strong bonds in families and in communities. Holiday rituals connect the ordinary with the extraordinary and give young students a sense of purpose and belonging. In addition, happy memories in childhood lead to more positive interactions when children become parents themselves. Your continued support makes moments like this possible for our students. Every donation helps ensure that we can continue transforming the lives of families facing extreme poverty.

When you make your donation recurring, you’ll join our Helping Hands Sustainer Circle, a community of extraordinary humans working together to provide monthly support for the children and families at the Acorn Childcare Center. As a member, your monthly commitment provides a reliable and sustainable source of funds we can use to plan programs, create budgets and expand services. For example, your monthly commitment of $25 could provide the children with safe drinking water each month while $50 could provide books and art supplies for the month.

Maya Childcare Inc is run entirely by volunteers, thus 100% of your donation goes directly to the Acorn Childcare Center.
